Priorities

Mid-Columbia Fisheries ensures projects are priortized and work is completed so we can remain nimble and address project opportunites as they arise. Projets must be:

High quality, high impact, and address our mission

Strategic

Mid-Columbia Fisheries values and benefits from the synergy of working with our partners, landowners, donors, and each interacting piece of salmon recovery.

What We Do

Our restoration projects range in size, scale and scope but are always rooted in science, impact, and align with our mission.

Our education program has many components and reaches across the region. On average we provide experiences for 2,600 students from 20 schools, provide teach training, and host many events.

Outreach is a major component of our work, as it allows for community engagement, share our passion, and provide opportunity to be involved in salmon recovery.

Stewardship

Our restoration crew ensures project success, community outreach, and our boots on the ground. Weed treatments, seeding, revegetation, and site maintenance across 10+ sites every season.

Ensuring our projects are meeting the goals set out we monitor for project success. This also allows for adaptive management, increasing knowledge, and ensure future projects successes.

We are an active partner in local Bull Trout recovery. This includes our Bull Trout Task Force, partnership with the Bull Trout Working Group, and being the persistence presence for Bull Trout in our basin.
