Outreach

Spreading our mission, vision, knowledge, and passion across our region is a priority. Engaging all ages, user groups, the general public, other natural professionals, and really anyone who will listen is foundational to ensuring our work goes well beyond our organizational reach. Take a look at our formal programs and feel free to reach out to us!

Programs

Some of the more established outreach programs are found below. If you would like MCF to participate in an outreach program or want to join MCF in our effort, please feel free to reach out.

Summer Education

Our summer outreach interns are out in the Teanaway sharing info on fish, rivers, and upcoming restoration.

Look for them at trailheads and swim spots—stop by and say hi!

Riparian Buffers

Careers in Conservation Summer Program

This three-week program provides high school students from Central Washington with hands-on experience in fisheries, habitat restoration, and conservation science. Participants collect and analyze field data, develop and present a salmon habitat project, and work with federal, tribal, state, and nonprofit professionals. The program includes an overnight field component and provides school credit, a stipend, and personal field gear.
