Mid-Columbia Fisheries implements restoration projects across a large geographical extent, a range of projects sizes, and utilizes a variety of funding sources and partner collaboration. Our projects are rooted in science, vetted by numerous entities and align with watershed priorities for salmon recovery. Projects are separated by:
Upper Yakima Basin
The Upper Yakima Basin refers to the Yakima River, and its tributaries that are above Ellensburg, Wa.
Lower Yakima River
This section of the Yakima River runs from Union Gap to the confluence with the Columbia River.
Middle Yakima Basin
The “Middle Yakima” primarily refers to the Naches River and its Tributaries. While this project area extents into Ahtanum, Wenas, and the gap-gap reach of the Yakima River. MCF has done numerous project

Mid-Columbia Fisheries Enhancement Group is involved in planning, implementation, and stewardship in several Columbia River Gorge tributaries, including the White Salmon, Wind River, and Klickitat basins.
